In 2009, Vietnam’s Market Control Task Force (MCTF) investigated 167,528 cases, trying 70,428 cases with VND245-billion value of charges. Out of this amount, administrative charges totaled VND120 billions, the value of seized violated goods was VND122.5 billions and the amount of tax recollection was VND2.5 billions. Looking forward into this year, MCTF poised to expand its activities both in depth and breadth, focusing on critical types of goods and geographical areas.
